Contrasting Icelandic Sheep Southern Iceland Sheep images available for purchase at jmillerphoto.com Notes about this image |
Photographer's Notes: Contrasting Icelandic SheepIceland's free range sheep are world renowned for both their wool and the quality of their meat. These two were walking in a pasture just off of the ring road. What caught my eye was both the fact that the colors were contrasting the way they did, but that the wool was so way out of control. Later that day, while stopped at a Gas Station enjoying some pylsur (lamb hot dog), my wife asked me how I felt about eating what I had previously been taking pictures of. I told her with a little mustard they were pretty good...Technical Notes: Shot with a Canon EOS Elan 7e camera on Fuji Superia 100 negative film with the EF 70-300 USM lens. My notes say the image was made in October 2002. |
