Photographer's Notes: Icelandic Mare and FoalA reasonably normal thing to see on Iceland's highways and byways are the beautiful Icelandic horses. While not unique, the nearly matching color in the two horses thin summer coats caught my eye, as well as the fact that I think any mom and child image is outstanding. Light was not perfect, but the pose was good enough to take care of business.Technical Notes: There are very sparse notes on this image in my records. I have sold prints of this image in various forms but it has never shown up on the web site. Camera was my Canon EOS Elan 7e with probably the 70-300 (non-USM) zoom lens. Film is unknown--will have to pull out the negatives some time to find out. Given where it is numbered in my library my best guess is that this was the summer of 2002, but it may have been summer 2003. |
