Photographer's Notes: Newly-born Icelandic LambThere is something uniquely cute and adorable about newborn lambs. The lamb shown here was likely on at most a day or two old. Momma was nearby and keeping a very solid eye on me to make sure that this lamb and his sibling were safe from the crazy person in the vehicle that was pointing the big white lens at her babies.Technical Notes: This image was made in late May during the early evening hours. Camera was the Canon EOS 10D with the 300mm f4 IS L lens mounted to the body. It was shot from inside the car, allowing me to get a little closer to the sheep without spooking them too badly. This image has a significant crop to it, but the source image is 1200x1500 and makes a very tasty 8x10 print. |
